Cosmos creates range of 25 'exotic' escorted tours
Escorted touring operator Cosmos has launched 25 ‘exotic’ itineraries for 2019-20.
The new tours span South and Central America, Asia, Africa and the South Pacific.
In Central America, an eight-day Gateway to Costa Rica itinerary, with a treetop walk through the Arenal Hanging Bridges, starts from £1,607.
Its South America tours include a 13-day Legacy of the Incas itinerary, featuring Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca, from £3,877. It is operated by new ‘premium’ brand Globus.
In Africa, a 10-day On Safari in Kenya tour includes game drives in the Masai Mara National Reserve and Lake Nakuru National Park, and visits to the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Centre in Nairobi, from £2,413.
Globus’s 14-day Splendours of South Africa and Victoria Falls itinerary, including Cape Town, Johannesburg and the Cape of Good Hope, starts from £4,492.
In Asia, Cosmos’s 15-day Spirit of China & the Yangtze River tour is priced from £2,968 and includes the Great Wall of China, Tiananmen Square, the Terracotta Army and a Yangtze River cruise through the Three Gorges Dam, with optional extensions to Hong Kong and Mongolia.
Globus’s 10-day Icons of India: The Taj, Tigers & Beyond is priced from £2,175 and includes three game drives in Ranthambore National Park, dinner with an Indian noble family in Jaipur, seeing the Taj Mahal at sunrise and a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk bazaar in Delhi.
A 14-day Highlights of New Zealand tour takes in Auckland, Rotorua, Napier, Wellington and Christchurch, and starts at £2,850. It can be combined with a 15-day Highlights of Australia itinerary.
A new 30-day Great Adventure Down Under, by Globus, includes a visit to Hobart’s Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park, Kangaroo Island, Uluru, cruises on the Great Barrier Reef and Milford Sound, and stays in Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne. Prices start from £8,809.
Deposits of £99 are available on bookings made by October 31.
