Cosmos creates new senior marketing manager role
Cosmos and sister brand Avalon Waterways have recruited Danielle Cheney to the newly created role of senior marketing manager.
She has worked mostly in the travel industry since leaving university, having started her marketing and public relations career with a travel exhibition company that organised the Cruise Show and the Adventure Travel Show.
She moved to Cosmos from James Villas where she worked for four years as marketing communications manager.
During her tenure, the company re-branded, overhauled its marketing and website and brought its PR inhouse.

Cheney’s new role sees her managing the marketing team and bringing the company’s PR in-house. Other responsibilities include leading the team on content creation, social media, marketing retention campaigns, print media and brand management.
She said: “The opportunity to work for Globus family of brands, across both Avalon Waterways and Cosmos touring, was one I couldn’t turn down. The breadth of destination choice for customers is wonderful, and all of the experiences on offer – all on one trip – are unlike any other holiday type.”
