Cosmos Tours adds five shorter Balkans options

Cosmos Tours has added five new Balkan itineraries focusing on Croatia, Bosnia, Herzegovina and Serbia.

The range includes two five-day tours, Croatian Delight and Adriatic Highlights; two eight-day options, Discover the Balkans and Explore Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina; and the nine-day Treasures of Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Serbia.

Previously, Cosmos’s multi-centre Balkan tours were a minimum of 13 days.

Chief executive Giles Hawke said: “In the past four years, we have developed our Balkans programme significantly, as the area has grown in popularity with those curious to explore not just Croatia, but the states of Bosnia, Serbia and Herzegovina.

“We’ve worked with our ground-handlers to offer itineraries that are shorter in length to suit a broader range of customers who have less time to travel but want to see as much of the historical towns and cities and natural beauty of national parks.”

Tours include half-board accommodation, usually in four-star hotels, guided excursions, entrance fees, transfers, flights and home pick-up service.

G Adventures also begins its new eight-day Montenegro sailing trips from Dubrovnik in May. Active specialist Headwater has introduced a walking holiday in Transylvania and the Carpathian Mountains.
