Kuoni adds destinations in Mediterranean, Greece and Italy
Kuoni is expanding into Montenegro, Kos and Milan in 2018 as it looks to position itself as a serious player in the premium short-haul market.
The destinations feature in Kuoni’s 2018-19 Mediterranean brochure and its standalone 2018 Italy brochure.
The operator has also added resorts across both programmes, boosting its number of properties across Europe to more than 240.
Montenegro has been introduced to the Mediterranean brochure with a property in the coastal resort of Tivat. In neighbouring Croatia, Kuoni has added hotels in Dubrovnik and Split.
The Greek island of Kos is also new, and features four hotels.
A further addition in Greece is the five-star Eagles Villas in Halkidiki, which has 40 luxury villas with heated pools.
Also new to the Mediterranean brochure is the Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay, which opened in June, and luxury resorts in Majorca, Menorca, Cyprus and Madeira.
In the Italy brochure, Milan has been introduced to the cities programme, and Vulcano and Lipari, two of the Aeolian islands, just off the northeast coat of Sicily, are featured for the first time.
Four hotels have been added in the island of Ischia, and new hotels feature in Puglia, Basilicata, Sardinia and the Italian Lakes.
Sheena Paton, commercial and product manager for Kuoni’s beach destinations, said: “With a growing Europe programme we’ve looked for new opportunities beyond the mainstream resorts and our aim has been to select hotels that really stand out. We want agents to think of Kuoni for premium European bookings.”
