Leger expands solos range and unveils Second World War tours
Escorted tours specialist Leger Holidays has released a range of trips commemorating events in the Second World War.
The tours are among a host of new holidays this year and next that also include festive breaks, cruises and an expanded range for solo travellers.
The Second World War additions include the Battle of the Bulge 75th Anniversary, which will visit commemoration events in Belgium and Luxembourg. The four-day coach tour departs on December 12 and costs from £349.
Others include a five-day D-Day Landings In Normandy tour, from £689 in September, and a four‑day Wings of Freedom itinerary, which visits an airshow in the Netherlands that commemorates the Allied Liberation, from £369 in August.
Another tour combines visits to battlefields with Christmas markets in France and Belgium. The four-day Christmas Markets in Ypres & Lille and Battlefields of the Western Front costs from £349, departing December.
Other festive holidays include a New Year cruise on the Rhine, from £789, and Medieval Amiens & Rouen Christmas Markets, which costs from £329 for four days.
For solo travellers, there are eight new trips, starting at £499 for the four-day Lille & Bruges Christmas Markets coach tour in December.
Other new coach tours for solo travellers in 2020 include Beautiful Rovinj, Croatia, (nine days, £995) and Scenic Austria Winter Wonderland (seven days, £879).
An All Quiet on the Western Front itinerary visits First World War sites in Belgium and France next March (five days, £669).
