Newmarket recruits for new learning and development role
Newmarket Holidays has recruited Audrey Singh to the newly created role of learning and development manager.
Reporting to Nikki Bail, head of people and culture, Singh will be responsible for managing the escorted tour operator’s induction process and she will work with the contact centre team to help them deliver the best service to customers and agent partners.
Singh has worked in the travel industry since leaving school and has years of experience at independent agencies, call centres, and within tour operating.
She has worked at companies such as Miles Travel, Hays Travel and Hoseasons, and most recently in a learning and development role within the hospitality industry.
Ian Dines, chief people and customer officer, said: “Many people in the industry are familiar with Audrey and we’re so thrilled to welcome her to Newmarket Holidays.
“Her infectious enthusiasm and passion for training and development will drive huge value for our business, customers and agent partners as we continue our ambitious growth.
“Our people are the most important asset to the business, and Audrey will ensure that our teams are getting the training and on-going development that is needed to support the company’s ambitious growth plans. It shows the commitment we have to our team in their learning and development paths.
“With such a wide array of escorted tours, many with complex itineraries in far-flung destinations, it’s essential that our teams get the coaching they need to provide expert support to our travel agent partners. Audrey will be an essential part of this process.”
Singh added: “Newmarket Holidays is an amazing brand. I’m so happy to be working at a company that has such exciting growth plans, with wonderful colleagues, in an industry I know and love.”
