Saga and Tigerbay announce technology partnership
Booking and e-commerce platform Tigerbay has become the new technology partner for the Saga holiday brands – Saga Holidays, Titan Travel and Saga Cruise.
The deal comes hot on the heels of fellow Atas member Newmarket Holidays opting to move onto an e-commerce platform developed by the Cardiff-based developer owned by Atcore.
The Saga agreement is described as one of Tigerbay’s most significant deals to date, and is expected to extend over ten years.
Saga has chosen the technology company partly for its future-proofed platform which has been built to withstand the continued growth and shifts of technology in the coming years.
Saga will be using the complete Tigerbay platform, initially across Titan Travel which will make use of the existing extensive tours functionality of Tigerbay to manage its tours business.
Saga Holidays will use new packaging functionality in its “Stay” business and the Saga Cruise brand will also implement the new technology to promote its itineraries.
All three Saga brands will also use Tigerbay’s latest API to enhance their current websites, and develop a new B2B website for agents.
Saga has chosen to migrate to Tigerbay from its current system in order to benefit from the tech provider’s platform which has been developed specifically for specialist leisure operators.
