Saga safari adventure offers 11 game drives
Saga has unveiled a new safari holiday in South Africa, with a range of accommodation including a riverbank lodge, and the chance to spot lion, elephant and rhino.
The 13-night Heart of Kruger holiday, in a small group of up to 22 guests, includes big game experiences in three different areas of the Kruger National Park.
Seven game drives to look for African wildlife within the national park are included, plus four game drives in a more private reserve.
As well as the ‘big five’ – lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard – guests have the chance to see cheetah, hippopotamus, crocodile, giraffe, zebra, kudu, antelope, wildebeest and exotic birds.
Accommodation includes Imbali safari lodge (pictured), on the banks of the N’waswitsontso River; a game lodge at Makalali Private Game Reserve, Hoedspruit; the colonial-style Buhala Lodge on the banks of the Crocodile River; and the boutique Critchley Hackle Lodge.
It costs from £3,599 per person, including return flights from Heathrow with South African Airways on selected dates in 2020.
