The Blue Train doubles safari departures

South African luxury rail operator The Blue Train has doubled the number of safari departures this year.

The train will make four round-trips from Pretoria to the Limpopo province, offering easier access to the wildlife reserves and private safari lodges of the Kruger and Sabi Sands area, and a shorter option compared with its usual Cape Town-Pretoria journeys.

The train leaves Pretoria at 3pm on Fridays, arriving at Hoedspruit at 10am on Saturdays, with departures on March 17, June 16, July 7 and August 11.

Southbound trips depart Hoedspruit on Saturday afternoons at 3pm, reaching Pretoria by 10am on Sundays.
