Sales of Travel 2’s touring offerings have grown 16% in the three weeks since it joined Atas.
Self-drive tours have seen a year-on-year increase of 19%, while escorted and independent tours have risen by 16% and rail tours by 13%.
Five destinations in particular have performed very strongly in the weeks since joining Atas.
Passenger numbers to Canada doubled from last year, with a 138% rise in sales.
Vietnam has seen a doubling of sales – up 106% – equating to a 53% increase in the number of travellers.
Japan continues to perform strongly, thanks in part to the excitement of the Rugby World Cup and the 2020 summer Olympics.
Sri Lanka’s sales have risen by 43%, with 45% more passengers visiting the destination.
Australia has seen a 30% increase in sales, with holidaymakers booking higher value holidays.
Managing director Lisa McAuley said:“Travel 2 has made a concerted effort to expand its touring and adventure products available to agents.
“Becoming a member of Atas was an important decision for us and we have seen a tangible boost in bookings since joining.
“This demonstrates the faith agents have in selling our products and the trust they have in the Atas mark.”
Travel 2 has a strong track-record in touring, having had a dedicated touring brochure for several years, as well as launching the Little Book of Incredible Journeys mini brochure in recent years as an additional selling tool for agents.
The programme includes product from more than 80 touring specialists, including a number of other Atas members.
The operator employs a dedicated team of touring specialists within its call centre to support agents with sales.
Booking incentives include up to £30 T2 Rewards on all tours bookings to further enhance the product offering.
