Wellbeing charter and flexible booking policy boost for Newmarket Holidays
Increased interest in UK breaks and late deals, particularly to Lake Garda in Italy, have helped boost bookings at Newmarket Holidays.
The company recently committed to a flexible booking policy and wellbeing charter, which details steps has taken by the operator to “significantly decrease” any risk to travellers and staff while on a tour.
Agency sales manager Richard Forde said: “Whilst there were no tours running during lockdown, we used that time to plan how we would bounce back when the market begins to recover.
“Our wellbeing charter is central to this, incorporating, enhanced cleaning, Covid insurance, pre-tour health declaration in some destinations amongst other measures, and we are seeing positive signs in the form of sales.”
He added: “Our new flexible booking policy allows customers to change their booking or cancel at no extra cost up to 21 days before departure.
“This policy was designed to help customers feel protected in the event that their holiday is affected by another last-minute policy change.
“Based on recent sales, I believe that this policy is working and inspiring confidence in agents and our customers.”
