Wendy Wu Tours offers fam trip places in ‘Big Tokyo’ draw

Asia specialist Wendy Wu Tours is offering places on fam trips, along with a host of other prizes, in its ‘Big Tokyo 2021’ draw.

The competition has been launched to celebrate the Olympic Games in Japan and the tour operator’s range of discounts and offers for holidays to the country.

The initiative runs alongside the offers period (July 15-August 9) and features facts and questions on the Wendy Wu Agent Friends Facebook page.

Other chances to win are on offer with the Olympics Window Takeover – in which agents can post their Japan-themed window displays on the Facebook page – and the social media competition, which requires at least four Japan-themed posts featuring Japan tours from the Wendy Wu Tours programme.

Agents can also enter with posting a fun photo or video of themselves ‘becoming an Olympian’ on the Facebook page.

Every booking made from July 1 until the closing of the Olympic Games on August 8 will be entered into the Big Tokyo Prize Draw.

The operator also enhanced its agent incentives, so every first booking receives a £20 Love2Shop voucher; every second booking receives a £30 Love2Shop voucher and every third booking receives a £40 Love2Shop voucher.

John Warr, global sales director at Wendy Wu, said: “We can’t thank agents enough for their continued support. We know everyone has had a very challenging time but despite this our agents have supported us every step of the way.

“Our Japan special offers are very important to agents, particularly right now when they need all the help they can get to incentivise their clients to book.

“We are going all out to support our agent friends with six weeks of incentives and offers, all linking with the Olympic Games.

“Our number one priority is to the trade and giving agents all the support they need to help them convert leads into bookings.

“Our average passenger value has risen to more than £4,900, with more customers making multiple bookings and for longer tours.

“With commissions paid on the value of the whole tour and with passenger spend increasing, this is great news for agents.”

The current offers feature free flights to Japan, saving up to £800 per person, and free single supplements, saving up to £1,940 per person, across all group tours, travelling to Japan in 2022 and 2023.
