Wendy Wu Tours to resume escorted group tours to China in May

Wendy Wu Tours has confirmed it will resume leading escorted group tours to China in May.

The announcement comes after the Chinese government lifted its embargo on issuing visas to international tourists.

The operator has been permitted by China’s authorities to lead the first official group tour on May 21.

It will resume touring with the 16-day Wonders of China, the most popular tour in its 25-year history, which offers a “comprehensive journey through China’s most iconic sights from the magnificent Great Wall to the mighty Yangtze River”.

Wendy Wu, founder of Wendy Wu Tours, said: “We’ve been given the green light by the Chinese government to resume our China visa service, which fast-tracks our entry back into China, enabling us to be the first UK tour operator back into China in less than two months’ time.

“Customers have been calling out for a tour date, and eagerly awaiting an opportunity to travel to China, as soon as possible, and hence we are so excited to fulfil this opportunity with the May tour.”

Expecting high demand, Wendy Wu Tours has added capacity for tours throughout autumn 2023 and throughout 2024.

Wu added: “Having just reopened for tourism, now is the perfect time to travel and experience this spectacular country. Having not had any tour groups for so long, the warmth and hospitality that our customers will receive in May will be second to none.

“The tour is fully inclusive plus we will take care of everything, which of course includes visas. It will be a monumental and historic tour, and the opportunity of a lifetime to be among the first UK tourists back in China, after nearly three years.”
